The Qwikinstall frame is certified under UL10C up to 90 minutes in frames sizes up to 4080.
The Qwikinstall frame was tested and successfully passed, in accordance with ANSI A250.4 2011, Test Procedure and acceptance criteria for physical endurance for steel doors, frames, and frame anchors, for 1,000,000 cycles by Intertek.
The frame can be installed at any stage of the project once the drywall is in place. The most efficient process sequence is when the frame is installed at the time the door and hardware are present ready to be installed.
Installing the Qwikinstall frame later in the construction sequence reduces the time the frame is exposed and vulnerable to Trade Damage.
The frame is designed to be used in new construction as well as renovation projects.
A version of these applications is not currently available but is under development.
The Qwikinstall frame is provided with a prime coat finish ready for painting. This is a custom finish question to ask the licensed manufacturer. There are door, frame, and hardware distributors who can apply a finish coat of paint to the frame.
The frame can be supplied for double door systems up to 8080 sizes. However double door frames are not presently fire-rated.

Yes, it will take approximately 8-12 minutes to remove the frame. With proper tools and appropriate care, the frame should be able to be reused at least one more time.
Once installed, it is possible to visually differentiate the Qwikinstall frame from a traditional three-sided welded frame. The Qwikinstall frame has a small gap (approx .062") along the door stop and the rabbet, where the trim frame locks into the active frame. If required, this gap can be easily hidden with a small bead of caulk before painting.
